The EGI OH TR 3.0 squid jig from YAMASHITA has been specifically designed for "Tip Run" style fishing, ideal for targeting squid and cuttlefish in deeper waters or conditions requiring fast sinking through the water layers. It features a tin weight and a body specifically engineered to maintain perfect horizontal stability, essential for improved effectiveness when targeting cephalopods. This optimal stability is achieved through:
  • Its unique streamlined shape,
  • Sophisticated weight system,
  • Different sizes of hook baskets,
  • Hydro Fin technology, enhancing penetration into the water column with reduced sensitivity to line movement.
The EGI-OH TR series also incorporates 490Glow technology, with phosphorescent eyes emitting a wavelength of about 490 nm, and an innovative Warm Jacket coating, which reproduces and maintains a slight temperature variation resembling a prey, thus effectively stimulating the predatory instincts of cephalopods. The size 3.0 is especially suitable for fishing squid and cuttlefish from shore, as well as boat fishing in shallower waters or when cephalopods stay close to the surface. This jig sinks at a rate of around 1.5 seconds per meter.
